You will only be required to complete the online portion of the Saskatchewan course and then contact us for your virtual exam.
Once you have completed the online course, you will receive your “Hunter Report” by email, showing your successful completion of the online course. II. While hunting techniques and safety related information are similar between Ontario and Saskatchewan, there are some differences to be aware of. Please ensure that you review and are familiar with all of the “Ontario Specific Information” prior to taking your examination with us. Scroll down to download for free, the Ontario specific information to review prior to your exam. (Ontario Hunting Textbook, Ontario 2020 Hunting Regulations Summary, Migratory Bird Regulations, Wild Turkey Brochure).
You are permitted to have with you a copy of the 2020-21 Ontario Hunting Regulations to assist you during the exam! Review it closely to become familiar with it and how to use it as a reference in preparation for the exam.
Items to note include but are not limited to the following:
- Hunter Orange requirements differ between the two provinces (high visibility safety vests referred to in Saskatchewan course do not meet Ontario’s requirements)
- Tagging requirements differ between the two provinces
- Rules related to Trespassing may differ
- Please consult the Ontario Hunting Regulations Summary for more information.
